Arun Chandra High School is one of the well-recognized institutions of the subcontinent. The school was started on the 2nd January, 1914. The most liberal and broad minded Zamindar Srijut Arun Chandra Singha ( Rai Bahadur) was the proprietor of this famous school.At the time there were two permanent recognized schools in the Noakhali district.
