The school was conducted in the Keramatia Alia Madrasha in the morning shift. It was near Sonapur Rail way station. In the beginning, the school was from class three. But in the new place it was from class five due to lack of classroom facilities. Later the school was shifted in the new town for the time being, because there was a strong possibility of shifting the town either in Choumuhani or in Feni. At last in the present location, the Govt. allotted land for the school. Needless to mention that Mr. Azam Khan. The then Governor of East Pakistan contributed a lot to establish the Noakhali town in the existing area. Although the school was registered as R.K Noakhali Zilla School in the govt. documents, the word R.K was abolished gradually. The total area of the school is eight acres. The area proposed for the Basketball ground was captured for the District Education Office. The school locates beside the main-road of the town the school looks magnificent with its large auditorium, academic and administrative buildings and of course, its huge grassy playground and The Zilla Zame Mosque locating beside adds beauty to the school. Some prominent students of the school are late A.B.M Musa, Shahid Uddin Iskandar (Koci), Fazlul karim, A.H. Mofazzel Karim, Major (rtd) Abdul Mannan, Mr. Abdur Rashid (MP),\u00a0Mr. Emad Uddin, Mr. Ajoy Sarkar, Mr. Sonjoy Sarkar, Mr. Fazlul Azim, brig(rtd). Dr. Bahar, Prof. Gazi Ahsanul Kabir, col (rtd) Sala Uddin, Adv. Khayer Ezaz Masud and so on. After partition, late Mr Abdul Motin, Mr. Abdur Rahim, late Mr. To barak Hossain, late Mr Mamtaz Uddin, Late Mr. Akhtaruzzaman, Late Mr. M. H. Chowdhury and late Mr. Abdul Matin contributed a lot for the school. All of them were highly educated and foreign trained. Some of them were promoted to the higher posts of the education department. One of the glorious events of our national history is the liberation war. Many students of the school actively took part in the war. Among them Ohidur Rahman, Jashim Uddin and Cash Sarkar Bishesshar. De embraced martyrdom\u00a0some renowned freedom fighters who were the students of this school are Dr. Sahadat Hossain, Mizanur Rahman, Mahmudur Rahman Belayet, late Akramul Haque A.K.M and A.K.M.
