Ms. Sidratul Moontaha Mitul

Sidratul Moontaha Mitul graduated from the Department of English, University of Dhaka with a specialization in English Literature in 2015 (Exam held in 2016). She started her journey in the Department in 2011 and developed a passion for learning new languages. During her undergraduate years, she has participated in a number of extracurricular activities and gained an elementary knowledge in French and Japanese language. Her passion for teaching sprouted during her tenure as a student mentor in the Department. She began her career in the academia in 2017 as a Lecturer at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in English at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). She has published her works in various reputed journals and her research interest includes women and gender studies, cultural studies, literary and critical theory, postcolonial studies etc. She has been actively involved with EDAS in the past two years and is currently a member of the EDAS Executive Committee as well as the EDAS Webinar Committee.
