Tahmina Ahmed is a Professor at the Department of English, University of Dhaka since 1994. She served as the Chair of the Department from 2012 to 2015. She was the Team Leader of British Council funded INSPIRE project, Department of English Writing Service (DEWS) from 2013 to 2016. Therein, she contributed to and co-edited two textbooks: Teaching Essays with Ease and Exploring Academic Writing. Her primary area of interest is drama. She is currently doing her research on migration literature and the literature of indigenous people of Bangladesh. Besides publishing scholarly articles, she has translated a number of plays from English to Bangla, including Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, published by Bangla Academy in 1996. She also co-edited The Great War and Our Mindscapes (2017).
